Introduction: lungs are the most important organs of our body that helps us to breathe. Lungs are of the opinion that large surface area for oxygen from the air to pass into the bloodstream and carbon dioxide to move. Our body cells require oxygen for the proper functioning and development, while getting rid of carbon dioxide. The normal healthy person breathes on an average and inhaled oxygen from the air or about the more than 25,000 times a day. The air we inhale contains oxygen and nitrogen and except that there are also some bacteria, viruses, tobacco smoke, car exhaust and other pollutants that may damage the lungs. The lung desease patients can have breathing problems, get the basis of their lungs, less oxygen is required.
Types of Lung Disease: There are many types of lung diseases, some of them are usually found as: asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease-COPD, cystic fibrosis, emphysema, lung cancer, mesothelioma, tuberculosis, pulmonary embolism and pulmonary hypertension, and influenza.
Causes: There are several known causes of illness and the causes of many more are not known. The causes of common diseases may include:
• Smoking: smoking cigarette or cigar or pipe is the cause responsible
• Radon gas: This is when the next major cause of lung disease
• Asbestos: This natural fiber floats easily in the air and into our body through the nose
• Air pollution: There are many air pollutants in the atmosphere, which can easily damage the lungs in different ways.
Symptoms: The first symptoms of lung desease could easily be overlooked, as the human experience simply consuming less energy. Some of the most common symptoms of lung disease include: trouble breathing, shortness of breath, feeling as always sufficient air could not easily performed exercises, persistent cough, coughing up blood or mucus, and pain or discomfort when inhaling and exhaling
Diagnosis: lung diseases are usually diagnosed by various means depending on the type, intensity, family history, individual patient's medical history, health and age and condition of the patient. Certain diagnostic laboratory tests for lung diseases, all or any of the following depending on the conditions of the patient: the lung function test, chest X-ray, CT, bronchoscopy, and pulse oximetry.
Treatment: The treatment of lung disease depends on various factors such as type and stage of the desease, family history, medical history of the patient and the health and age of the patient. However, the common treatment includes: inhalers, expectorants, antibiotics, oxygen therapy, chemotherapy, lung transplantation, lung reduction surgery and, natural and free or integrative therapies.
