In Germany, each about 200,000 men and women are diagnosed with cancer. The average age for men is 66 and for women at 67 years. The risk of developing cancer increases with age.

Most common cancer in men is currently neoplasm of prostate cancer, in women is breast cancer (breast cancer) in the first place. The second most common cancer formation is in both men and women of colon cancer.

In developing countries, overall life expectancy - due to other diseases, malnutrition, or often even by war - much lower, so there differ in cancer incidence and mortality in part by the strong in developed countries.
